A new tool to ease the pressure of gathering information on student groupings (populations).

The 'student groupings' tool is designed to be an independent piece of software that can easily be transported to any computer running Microsoft Excel. The tool allows a school to set up their own subjects and teaching groups and distribute these amongst the subject leaders. As the tool has the students within it, the subject leaders can simply and easily state what group a student should belong to.

As the information is collected in a consistent format, it will be presented to administrators in a consistent format allowing data entry to be quicker. If the student information comes from the schools MIS (Management Information System) then subject leaders don't need to be concerned about correct spellings of student names.

The tool has been designed as many schools each year spend a lot of time re-inventing spreadsheets to do this job and then the administrators receive data in various formats. This ultimately slows the process down, and makes a relatively simple task quite complex!

Non-software specific

The tool is designed to be used independently of any MIS (Management Information System) and collates the student groupings allowing the subject leader to work independently! Various iterations can be created, shared amongst colleagues before a final version is sent to the timetabler or office administrators for entry into the MIS.
